Solar + Schools = Power to Make Students Brighter!

Gulf Power's “Solar for Schools” initiative has been successful in bringing photovoltaics closer to the classroom! These photovoltaic systems are used primarily as an educational tool, but do provide some energy benefit as they are also grid-tied.  

Currently, 7 local schools in our service area have Gulf Power funded solar present, including the Blue Angels Elementary "Solar Canopy Walkway" that was recently completed in December 2015!

Solar education is not limited to only these schools. Gulf Power has installed data acquisition equipment at each site to expand access to all teachers and students!
